The Rain (2005)

The actresses say,"Some feelings are never told...",
So I kept silent, thinking silence is gold.
But there ran out the sands of time,
Which wrote a tale, never to be told.

Years have passed since that hour,
And days have taken their weary course.
"Will the Gods forgive her?", I think,
When she begs for desperate remorse?

It was such a rainy eve I think,
When our eyes did seldom blink;
While together we rode the dream-horses,
Where our dreams would never sink.

When each time we parted to return,
Her lips so moist would touch my hand;
Then I would embrace her with nothing to demand
While nemesis wrote a lesson for me to learn.

She was my love, my hope, my prayer;
"You were the one whom I loved my dear."
Your smooth warm recoil led me on..........
And left me with nothing to fear.

Hppiness was our season then,
Or so I hopefully thought-
We gathered some moist drops of warmth,
Which every welcome rain brought.

But soon they sank beneath the burning sand,
And the fading image revealed dry land.
Where every cracks spoke of the wasted hours,
Spent to realise those dreams grand.

I walk the burning desert for timeless hours,
Searching for a green oasis of human showers,
At last when i drank the waters from an oasis just near,
It was salty, like a desperate human tear.

Now again, the rain kisses my face,
The droplets sinking without a trace.
Maybe searching for some forgiving grace
In me, which painfully it will never face.
